I don't know the right word. I'm sure you all know that the CH or H at the beginning of this Good Word is pronounced as if one were trying to loosen phlegm in the throat. I was amused by the mug one of my sisters gave to our mother that said Chappy Chanukah mostly because of the confusion it caused ...

I believe "Pennsylvania Dutch" refers directly to German immigrants. The locals misunderstood the German word "Deutsch" and thought they REALLY meant "Dutch".

I thought the "rice milk" was what is sold in stores now for those avoiding REAL milk. It didn't occur to me that was rice AND milk.
