Correct me, please, if I'm wrong, but isn't "feel" a verb requiring an adjective to describe the speaker? I'm referring to the often (incorrectly) stated, "I feel badly about that." in llieu of "I feel bad about that." "I feel badly" indicates a tactile proble...

When did the expression "as best as (I can)" or "as best (I can)" begin to take hold? It still strikes me as incorrect since "as well as (I can)" connotes a comparison while "the best I(I can)" indicates a superlative.
