I thought the time out was an error as I have left the keyboard in the middle of a post (I also do multiple attempts to get one posting out/proofreading repeatedly too) and returned quite some time later after remembering i was on line and I was permitted to continue. ???

Ditto to William, I grew up in NYC and the package when you bought them called them rubber bands.

I do know I have never heard an infant called a "doll baby" from anybody but those from western Pa.

I think this foreigner talk is silly, since the other person will not even understand those three words that are being enunciated, so why butcher your own language? Anyway, I think it would go something like this: Portuguese: Eu proteger você/tu. Spanish: Yo proteger usted/tú. Italian: Io protegger...
