Exactly! That's what I've been trying to say all along.

No problem(πρόβλημα)
I read once in Bible (O.T.): the man who increase his knowledges, he increases his sadness(θλίψεις) too.
So this is where the old "ignorance is bliss" saying comes from...

For to increase your עצב (sadness) and דעה (knowledge), I hereby present a link to the work I was referring to. Search of the phrase, "TRIAL IN THE COURT OF VOWELS" in the plain text, which is the beginning of the locution. Sadly, my poor memory betrayed me since the playwright was not Aristophanes but Lukianos. The other Lukianos on our Agora board may want to read a translation in a language recently favoured with his attention.

When I learn how to read boxes, question and exclamation marks, I certainly shall read that thing that you have especially selected for me (I have to wait until I get home, this computer doesn't read other scripts).

Oh boy, I thought it was my bad computer, but it turns out that even my good computer can't read boxes. :(

BD, maybe it depends on the font your PC uses to view that Japanese page. Check if your browser can use Shift-JIS codes.

Flam,
who does not know how to add that font to your PC, in case you don't have it. Call it homework.

I had so much trouble trying to get the schwa to display that I finally set my browser (IE) thusly:

Tools/Internet Options/Font... button/

In the Language script box select Latin based.

In the "Web page font" box select Tahoma (you can try others if you like).

In the "Plaintext font box" select MS Gothic (again, you can experiment if you like).

Click OK.

Now click the "Accessibility..." button.

Check the "Ignore font styles specified on Web pages" box. This will force IE to use the fonts you selected.

Click OK and OK.

You may also be prompted at some time to load a Japanese (or other) font for which you may need your original Windows disk.

I had no trouble at all displaying the page The Consonants At Law. Reading it, however, is another matter altogether! :)
