We would seem to have got a little behind in our reading, eh? :shock:
to wit, Brobdingnagian (Freya'sDay, as here)

And the precious Scmaltz (Thor'sday)

I'm not the only one allowed to put up the Good Words. Anyone can share the honors. Sometimes I forget but right now I'm very busy with some large jobs that pay the bills for this website.

One of them is preparing several thousand quiz sets for FreeRice, which I hope you all have visited. Most everyone else in the English-speaking world has. You can put your lexical skills to work there to relieve hunger around the world.

Oh, man! Two thousand grains, Vocab Level: 46; Your Best Level: 49. Many of those were educated guesses, other just plain guesses.

vair=squirrel fur

diseuse=female speaker
Squirrel fur was a wild-ass guess. Diseuse was a guess based on Distaff. A semi-educated guess, so to speak.

This site looks like it can be addictive!

Thanks, Doc!

Larry,

Don't become addicted. Of course, it is just the opposite of dope.
