debonair

Postby gwray » Fri Jul 12, 2013 10:02 am

The meanings quoted are quite positive, but I am concerned that the word may be percieved with slightly pejorative connotations. If I refer to someone as being debonair, will my listeners likely conclude that the individual is dapper or a dandy.
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver Proverbs 25:11

I think of the musical "My Fair Lady".
