Note scotch is considered pejorative applied to persons, and should be reserved for produce, always Scots or Scottish for people. Most would probably let it slide from an American mind you, unless in a bar after a few drams.

Well, the Scots are used to pejoratives - my Naval uncle might have referred to them as FRISPs (a frisp is a kind of crisp like snack here) being an acronym for 'frequently repulsive ignorant Scottish pettifoggers'. That's just affectionate talk in the Navy so I understand. Or a Cockney could go for 'Sweaties' - sweaty socks, meaning Jocks.
