It is surely unfair to dismiss Hari-Kari on the basis that it is Japanese
Besides -- since we're talking about rhyming compounds -- my own first experience hearing about hara-kiri was during an episode of The Flintstones, where Fred referred to it as "Harry Carry." :? (Or was it Barney who said it? I'm not sure...)

Which, BTW, led to me dismissing the baseball announcer Harry Caray's name as either a joke or a pseudonym the first time I heard it. *That couldn't possibly be his real name, could it?* :lol:
