... not a lot, but the local TV news anchors all have that washed out placeless non accent. Boring.

Thanks, that placeless non accent is actually the accent around Boise, Idaho. I grew up there and am constantly told I sound like the people on TV.

When I was in school, the teacher, when asked where anything was at, would reply "between the a and the t". Someone told her once that it didn't make any sense, and she said it made as much sense as asking where something was at. But then she said she meant in the dictionary. (At comes between the a and the t.)

i lived in ohio for the last 7yrs
i dont know if other states around ohio say where you at?
or say ohio ohia but where i live in ohio mostly everybody excpet the foreigners say Ohia and Where you at?
but the only time when people ohio as ohio is when they are talking about ohio state university

so i guess it probably a midwestern thing or only a ohio thing
