I was intrigued to see that this word is related to
grouch!
grudge (v.)
c.1450, grucchen, from O.Fr. groucher "to murmur, to grumble," of unknown origin, probably ultimately imitative. The noun is 1477, from the verb.
No wonder people who hold grudges tend to walk away mumbling...

Thanks, Tim!

who really doesn't have the energy to waste on grudges, although I am sometimes grouchy.

I'm always amazed how certain quotes come to life, as if you were hearing them for the first time, every time. This is one of those quotes. And I think the actress who played the Wicked Witch doesn't get enough credit for her incredible delivery of those lines!
Her crisp, crackling voice... Like the haunting sound of a jealous, angry conscience!

Ancient history, but I'll put in a vote for seeing this one done.
