However, we miss out on at least one potentially nice contemporary usage:
Was the FEC oscitant at the wheel in the lead-up to the financial crisis?
I would say it's a shame no one would understand it, but then again, not many understood what was going on then, either.
The link in the original post is still valid, too. It's got more there you might enjoy. We've seen several of the other words pass our way, but it is definitely worth a glance.
