I saw this interesting word at m-w.com today. It means ''to accuse or denounce''. It,s a rather old word that,s mainly used in tribunals.

Funny I understood it the moment I saw it. We have delatar in Portuguese.

I would be less than elated to find myself delated.

I looked for the origin of delate, but couldn't find it. I only found confirmation of the definition.
