Interesting!
According to a couple of sites i ran across it's a Chinook word meaning "a rush of water", but, I can't find it in any Chinook dictionary. I have found "camasuck" which refers to a bead and thought to be from the common Pacific Northwest plant camas.
Other sites says it means "the place where camas is gathered" (

I can't find any pictures of a camosack lily. I wonder if it is simply another reference to what is commonly called the camas, the root of which was a food staple for many PNW natives.
Thefollowing site shows camas as well as referencing Camosack as Victoria's original name.

It also sounds like a bag I'd take hunting!
