TRANSITIVE VERB:
To disrupt the composure of; disconcert. See synonyms at embarrass.

ETYMOLOGY: Middle English fesen, to drive away, frighten, from Old English fēsian.

To me--interesting etymology.
Always liked this word--don't know why.

(Skinem--becoming fazed (and faded) by the dog days of a Tennessee summer...)
