Craton

Postby Grogie » Sun Sep 23, 2007 2:12 pm

I discovered this interesting word today. It,s '' any part of the earth,s crust which has survived the forces of geological merging and splitting for at least 500 million years.''

But after 500 million years are any of the craton's friends still around to celebrate its status?

Well, they are but they are pretty tired....
Also except for the occasional alien rock falling on us [and they are also in their dotage] isn't it all the same age as the rest of the Earth, matter is neither created nor destroyed, just altered, so it's all pretty tired.
