Great word.

ETYMOLOGY: French rébarbatif, from Old French, from (se) rebarber, to confront : re-, re- + barbe, beard (from Latin barba; see bhardhā- in Appendix I).
Good strategy for Good Word of the Day. :D

Six years ago I shaved off a beard that had occupied my facial real estate for well over 20 years. I shall not rebarbe in the forseeable future.
