Some sources prefer empyrean, but I gather it's mostly a matter of taste.
I like the idea that, as a realm of pure fire, it is related in Christian myth to the home of the gods and angels. I thought the hot place was at the other end of the spectrum here.
A note on use, let's not confuse this one with empirical. Big difference.
