today's Good word, "picaresque" put me in mind of another that originated in Spanish literature, "quixotic"..from good ol' Don Quixote...(Quixote/Quijote...due to the old confusion of x and j..like in "Mexico/Mejico")
"noble but impractical"

Much to my surprise, we still have yet to see this one treated by the Good Dr. Maybe now that it's been suggested three times he'll get the hint? :)

I haven't treated it because the etymology is so shallow--Don Quixote. No other words have been derived from it. Let me look for a Spanish etymological dictionary and see if I can find something there.
