Paleolithic

I read an article recently about the "paleo" diet. This happened to provoke my inquiry into this word, which breaks down easily into the common usage of "old stone age". I wonder how many other daughters of PIE have continued to use either or both roots.

Hmmm...does the paleo diet require I get a white rock club to smash squirrels and rabbits?

A friend enthusiastically embraced that diet, ignoring the critical element: people ate "natural food" acquired close by, which might or might not conform to a dietician's best-balance recommendations, and might or might not carry "natural" pathogens. In her case, the fresh fish refrigerator-freighted in from the coast is healthy, but "unnatural" for her region.

*gives thanks for ancestors who hunted chocolate in the wild*

I'm eager always to learn new skills. Hunting chocolate would get me embrangled in lots of things, far superior to peeps!

^ It requires stealth -- at least I thought so until looking it up on a whim, and, oh dear...

Didn't realize the Stealth bomber was 30 yrs old. Gorgeous planes, and may get dome use if the infant ruler of NK doesn't chill out pretty quick.

But if one is on a diet, paleo or otherwise, one might stealthily hunt and as stealthily sneak a Hershey chocolate of some description. If you sneak, it doesn't count.
