One I've only heard of recently. Traditionally this refers to a collection of literary passages, used perhaps as an aid in learning a subject. Of Greek derivation, from khrestos, useful, and mathein, to know

For the modern developer this is a rewriting of code with the same purpose in a number of different languages, used to demonstrate syntactical differences - the Rosetta code site demonstrates this principle. I understand this is perhaps a little niche, however some may find the idea and examples as fascinating as I do?
