Interlocutor

I don't suppose this one has a great etymology, but it's still a great word. Any thoughts on how it might be played with?

My sole encounters with this word, at least those I remember, are transcriptions of mInstrel shows. Usually blackface clowns are talking to the MC or a straight man, who is Mr Interlocutor.
