I came across this word (in Portuguese sugilar, from Latin suggillare) while looking up sugerir and sugestionar in a Portuguese dictionary. Portuguese sugilar has an additional meaning of defame, vituperate, tarnish, which English suggillate doesn't seem to have, at least according to this source.

My English-language ready references either omit suggilate or note that it "is not in use". (Not clear if there is a penalty for using it, anyway...)

However, it did remind me of Sugars Ray Robinson and Leonard, both American pugilists of note.
