Nomophobia

Postby call_copse » Wed Aug 19, 2015 4:18 am

I had not heard this one until recently - it indicates a fear of being away from one's mobile, or out of signal range (it's a semi-acronym, no-mo(bile)-phobia). This was difficult for me to consider a credible thing, until I heard from 'screenagers' or 'glow faces' who were nervous if no charger could be located, or were out of range for a couple of hours, perhaps because I grew up before such admittedly very useful luxuries.

Screenager and glow face are both new to me, too.
