charcuterie

I do not know if this French word is acceptable for inclusion in an English language blog. In fact I do not know the dividing line between foreign words and English. How do we know when this happens. This means cold cooked meats.

I've always heard the idea that a foreign word has become fully acceptable in English once it is no longer italicized in print. That shows that people are expected to know what it means right off the bat, without having to think of a foreign term.
