Today

A aonf we sing in choir contains the Latin word "hodie", meaning today. Notice the Spanish word for today is "hoy" and in German "heute". All similar. There must be a PIE root, but I do not fully understand the explanation given, ki-Tagu? Anybody care to weigh in?

The ki is related to the cis- of cisgender. As in "this side of the day," thus today.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
