Bromide

Postby William Hupy » Sun Feb 19, 2017 2:36 pm

Not too many descendants of this word, that I could find. From Greek, bromos, meaning stench. Bromide is a non metallic metal. It's compound was used as a sedative. Alone in is toxic. A bromide is now used in the sense of a trite saying. Are we to gather from this that anything trite stinks?
