De rigeur

Postby William Hupy » Sat Mar 18, 2017 2:22 pm

Interesting diversity of meanings in its numerous progeny, from its humble PIE origin. This comes to English speakers, of course, from French, which obtained it from Latin. It's use now appears to be out of fashion.

I guess it should be spelled de rigueur.

De rigueur is still de rigueur around here. As long as you spell it right.

Oops. I have no one to blame but myself for the spelling. Thanks for catching that.
