Odd Links on Internet Explorer

Postby Dr. Goodword » Thu Mar 07, 2013 11:31 pm

If you are getting odd links to commercial sites in your daily Good Word and you are using Internet Explorer, these are not coming from yours truly. Someone at Microsoft got the bright idea of selling words on any page their browser displays to advertisers. I recommend using Google's Chrome or Mozilla's Firefox if you find them annoying. In fact, we at alphaDictionary recommend these two browsers for other reasons, as well.

Down with AIEEE! I don't use it myself, but I keep getting stuff dumped in there. Most recently, 33 megabytes of temporary Internet files. I repeat, I don't use the program. Where did they come from and how did they get there? I'll never know. Firefox is my choice of weapon for dealing with the Internot.
