I saw it the other day...it is very funny!
I want to know when they'll be back in Nashville. I'd love to see them!

Aw shucks. Perry, thanks for the plug, homey.

Well Nashville was just a fluke with the two of us who happened to be there for other things. I shall pass your kind words on to my Sheikmates.

We were all scattered by Katrina last year, so dates will be unfortunately few and far between. But we have been invited to a riverboat festival in Cincinnati in October; we'll see where that goes.

Sluggo, please keep the website updated with your dates. You never know who from here may show up! I've been known to travel for some good music...unfortunately, for some bad as well!
Good luck in Cincinnati!

Interested to see the webpage, Sluggo. As a former jugbandist (or jugbandite) myself, whose rather pathetic conglomoration was sadly dissipated by another major catastrophe in 1967, I feel I can at least oom-pah-thize, if not empathize. What a shame the sound link on your site seems to be dead (or de-ad, as we say here in Texas). Be nice to hear ya. Jugband music surely was a treat for me.

PS. I'm sure nobody really understands this arcane post. Nottoworry.

Well hail, Jughead! Ironic that I just responded to your Archie-post...

Your note reminds me that I should take this time while the car's in the shop to go fix that sound link up. I'll do so directly and give notice, or as we say in Sheikdom, "fair warning".

Wondering which 1967 catastrophe would have drowned y'all out?

A small war in Southeast Asia put paid to the band. Not the direst consequence of that unfortunate conflict, of course, but still...

The BSS site resurrects

OK y'all asked for it, and I let it slide as long as I could but time of the season has required me to revive the SheikSite with current info for our next re-reunion late this month. Not everything is completely updated but I'm working on it even as we tweak.

Unfortunately, among the parts that are functional are the sound links. Proceed at your own risk.

... and did we get it! Oy vey!

Then again, maybe it was the cheap speakers on this laptop ... at least it didn't wake up the dog; she needs her rest.

Thanks for the update! The "Original Boy Band" didn't cause me any discomfort!

I am ashamed to admit  - the video is in.
Run for your lives or else be subjected to this and that.

Call it a cure for curiosity.

I'd just like to note on That that on bar 12 the first time 'round, the bass player is supposed to play through. Kind of a riot that nothing happens there :?

I enjoyed the music, on the other one it wasn't as, well the sound mix was hard to hear, probably my speakers, but undaunted I tried THAT and was pleasantly surprised.
