Great resolution. Here is a challenge for you. How many of the words on your list can you pack into one sentence?

I was just planning to try harder to be a more patient person. Now I have to rethink this, add some words to my active vocabulary, lose 5 pounds, excersize more, eat less junk, eat more veggies, aim for a glass of red wine each night, walk the dog more often, and dust on a semi-regular basis.

I am exsanguinous, it is just too much!

I need a drink

I have to exercise, UGH, and just working hard is not good enough they say, it's gotta be a boring sitting on a bike looking at a wall kinda exercising, or walking on a treadmill staring at a wall. I like to do at least three things at a time or I get bored, hairgo [sic] I will have to be bored for 40 MINUTES A DAY, EVERY DAY!

Well, you could pedal the exercise bike, read a book or magazine, listen to music with the television turned to an all news channel and drink red wine at the same time.

How's that for multitasking?

But I'm still stuck on the bike, no walking away to get me a dagwood, And it's hard to reach my ashtray from the bike. [as if]

After a bohemian friend of mine turned 50 she showed up for our annual resolutionfest with an unusual list. She was grimly determined to go an entire year without: giving up chocolate; reading self-help books; joining a gym; eating more vegetables; cutting back on her drinking; going to church regularly; deepening her meditation practice; working on her relationships; bleaching her whites; or doubling her stock portfolio.

I can only hope to live up to her example someday.

Well I missed the news and the other thread (until later). But like you, I am feeling all of this cold rain. Stay warm Sluggo, Gail, and one and all.
