Awroight... what did youse guys done with the other E?

From my new li'l toy, the British Phrasebook by Lonely Planet:

Why do we (i.e. Brits) give rendezvous and parquet correct French pronunciation, but not repartée? And how is it that Americans say repartée correctly and yet pronounce route like rout?

Say... how do they say repartée in UK?
