LOGOPHILE'S DELIGHT

A parsimonious use of words
By quiet sea-birds, Taci Terns,
Creates a sundry mix of chords
While the foudroyant ocean churns.

Like whispers, these vicissitudes
Waxing and waning in the breeze
Are avatars of changing moods
And icons of the anxious seas

If I, by xenoglossy, could
Decode the mantras of the deep
I'd join the eldritch brotherhood
And shed this angst of earthly sleep

The great leviathans below
Would usher me to yonder shore
Ars longa, vita brevis

To plight my troth at Neptune's door

(Toodle-oo for now)
Ars longa, vita brevis
