I'd been consigning mine to the same original post, like archeological layers. Time to let go of this one:

"Wherever they burn books, they will also, in the end, burn people."
- Heinrich Heine
  It wil be missed; as one of us wags said elsewhere, Gail's wisdom truly impacted.

But a most worthy successor :)!

Oh dear! Are we back to painting imagery from the dental palate?

Retiring the below in favor of a more appropriate tag-line...

Retiring the below--it reminds me too much of my old career!

I guess I will retire mine for a more fresh and updated one.

Goodbye: Marriage changes everything. Suddenly, you're sleeping with a relative.

I have a few more where that came from.

Early retirement

Postby Palewriter » Sun Jul 30, 2006 2:00 pm

"Just shoot the messenger." is gone. I use it too much at work in sentences like: "Be careful, I always shoot the messenger." When asked why, I explain that it makes me feel better and that there's always a slim chance that they'll run out of messengers.

This new one seems appropriate, in a ghastly way, for this Forum.

After learning about a plane carrying skydivers had crashed in Missouri over the weekend, and out of respect for the skydivers who lost their lives, I will retire the line, "when all else has failed, skydiving is not for you". The timing of adding the tagling was just a fluke. I'll try not to do that again. :(

On a lighter note, sluggo: Show off! :)

Hey, what could I do, just the way it's made. I could find very few images that fit the 80 x 80 /8k parameters set by AA (although I see several on Board that stretch, I don't quite get that :?: ) -- I got jealous that everybody's got a 'tar 'cept me :( and I'm esperiment'n', this is all new stoof to me {my first choice mighta been Image but it's 'way too wide} so it'll have to do for now :?

Wow, I thought the Xanax had finally warped my brain, but now I see the dog was intentional. It's cute.

Huny place your cursor over the target. left click, select properties, highlight, copy and paste the url, placing it between the [ img] and the [ /img]. I put spaces in to keep it from trying to go live.

Another Tech Note: if anyone's getting motion-sick from my semiquaver or the recurring dogs, hit the "stop" button on your browser, the e-quivalent of "Sit!".

This was never much of a hit, though I thought it clever:

Television is called a medium because it's so rarely well-done --Ernie Kovacs

so we move along...
