I agree with most of it, and, mutatis mutandis, it could be applied to the country I was born in (England) and the country I now live in (France). I don't agree with item 10. I do as well as I can with French, and I actively help my less-Francophone fellow Brits to learn the language, but I don't need anyone to tell me that I must speak it or move out. It would be the same in Britain or the US.
Linguistic nationalists in any country just need to be patient. You find that the second generation of almost any immigrant community will be bilingual, and the third generation will often not trouble to learn their grandparents' language. The first generation, however loud you speak to them, will never learn your language perfectly, if they migrated when they were already adults.
