Well, I seem to be up a creek without a paddle. I've been pondering this stream of thought and I don't seem to be able to get into the flow of it at all. Oh, well, water under the bridge. I'm sure others can come up with much more, canoe?

I had to look a couple of times, but I think I'm on the right course here! (But, then again, I'm usually floating through life in the wrong direction!)

Well if you are going in the wrong direction, try to rivers your course.

I kind of like where I am currently. If needed, I can always riparian damage later.

Oh, don't! Give in to the dark side...
Then there was the magician who was walking down the street and suddenly turned into a cigar store . . .

NOW will you leggo my arm?

Oops. Forgot the obligatory pun:
When they hired that new manager from outside the company I figured he must walk on water. As it turned out, he was skating on thin ice.

Just got back from going out to The Waffle House for some late night breakfast and I noticed their sign:

Shirt and shoes must be worn to get service.

I wondered I would get kicked out if I told them that my shirt was almost brand new and that my shoes were just a month old.
The neighbors said that they knew the man who'd been shot for years.

Did they service your shoes anyway?

Actually, I like the signs on the doors at Burger King. Which sign you see depends, ob-viously, on which way the door swings.
PUSH
You can have it your way and Pull, but this door is really stubborn.

And I just had giggling fits over the sign at Service Merchandice:

THIS BUILDING IS ALARMED!

I always wanted to ask if it needed a Valium or a good hug, maybe a cup of tea and some time out.

There is also the horrible sign at Ryan's Steak House:

HAND CUT HERE DAILY

Which I always thought was such a terrible comment on their safety practices. Why doesn't someone teach them how to keep their hands out of the way of the knife?

My brother once saw a sign in a small grocery shop: "Fresh beef ground before your eyes." He didn't want his eyes to be ground up before, or after, anything; thank you very much.

Years ago in one Government office building I was working in they put up a sign:
This area contains sensitive data.
To which I appended:
Please do not hurt their feelings.
