Denver's blizzard

Postby Bailey » Fri Dec 22, 2006 12:58 am

Since I'm not smart enough to suavely [?] segue into a smooth and witty question concerning Gailr's neck o' the woods, and her possible predicament trying to fly out of the [closed]Denver airport for Christmas, I'll just say, I hope Gailr is ok.

When we see icicles added to her avatar we'll know she has power available. She moved from Wisconsin, so she should be used to cold and snow. Now as for heavy traffic and lack of oxygen from thin air, well, that's another story.

Thanks, Bailey; I worked out The Great Queen Flees the Mountain of Snow in what I think is gramatic heiroglyphs, but it doesn't show up well in avatar size. I hope the image at left will suffice...

I'm missing a much-anticipated Yule event this evening, but the snow is still too deep (not too mention the streets much too slippery) in some residential areas to take out the sedan chair. Besides, after properly bundling into long down coats, mufflers, boots and gloves, one's classic Middle Kingdom sideways posture looks ridiculous, not graceful...

I'd be happy to send any--or all--of this to those of you who long to go walking in a winter wonderland! I hope none of your travel plans are being disrupted!

Pleeeeeeze FedEx to Western North Cackalackee, where we are burdened with the worst: cold rain :x and count your blessings. I'll bet this place used to rock in winter until Al Gore invented Global Warming...

Actually, I heard a song on the radio the other day wishing everyone a "Merry ChrismIslamiKwanzakkah."

So, Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah

Then there is this video ... (I saw a more recent one but can't find it now)
