I loved the syndicated columns by the late Art Buchwaldcarried in my hometown paper.... Tra, shgual eht rof sknaht.

I missed hearing a speech by Buchwald by exactly one year. He was one of the choices for commencement speaker when I graduated college in 1973. I voted for him, but unfortunately a larger bunch of leftist loons voted for Daniel Berrigan. The Class of '74 had more sense, and voted for Buchwald, who did come, and said a few words about losing out the previous year. C'est la vie!

What was I not thinking.

(Said one Zen monk to the other, "Are you not thinking what I'm not thinking?" - caption of a great New Yorker cartoon.)
