Hmmm, looking around Denver I think The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America: A Guide to Field Identification by Julian Montague might come in handy.

Are you suggesting that Eastern North American Stray Shopping carts are migratory and that they winter over in Denver? That's "a fur piece to th' West" of their normal range.

Well, this is a temperate zone. Oh yeah, a Western North American Stray Shopping Cart, maybe, but not an Eastern one*. That's my point.

Consult what's published on the documented species first, then observe the regional variants.
