This is a red letter day, indeed. You've stuck by that tagline for a very long time, my friend!

Time to put away the Cle o'Patra avatar and this: Never iron a four-leaf clover, because you don't want to press your luck.

If you happen to have leftover Peeps on Sunday, there's an alternative to letting them turn crunchy: Peep Waldorf Salad. Heed the tip - use the yellow or pink Peeps as the lavender ones turn the salad "grayish."

That sounds quite vile, gzer, thank you.

I have local relatives: each member of the family has a different list of basic things they Will Not Eat. It gets pretty darned irritating, frankly. Peep Waldorf Salad may be just the ticket for some real family fun!

While Sluggo and presumably others await an explanation of peeps, he is unwillingly reminded of one of the dreaded pop song re-covers of the recent past:

Original:
(Just call me angel of the morning, angel)
Just touch my cheek before you leave me

The reredo:
Closer than my peeps you are to me-ee...

:?

...I'm going back to my cave and you won't hear a peep outta me...

Never eaten 'em, never seen 'em. Maybe it's a regional thing?
Something like candy corn then?

They look even more sinister than the song.

maybe this is why I stay in the cave...

they are colored and shaped marshmallows, sweet enough to feel the tooth decay coming on, diabetes insipitating [sic].

sluggo, you hep cat, how could you have escaped the PE EP? They even have them for other holidays now. Last year I picked up a package of disturbing PE EP plushies -- on Post-Easter clearance, I hasten to add -- which I have doled out to truly deserving friends upon special occasions. :D

For the scientifically minded, there is the ever-inspiring Peep Research site. Investigating the effects of smoking and alcohol on Peep health should be incorporated into the Science curriculum for every DARE class!

Don't miss Peep Haiku for the eggheaded intellectual types. From a Media Specialist friend: Peep Library Etiquette.

Candy Corn (sounds like the name of an exotic dancer with foot problems) must have a wide region, then. We get it up here in Maryland around Halloween. Peeps too.

sluggo: this isn't a tagline, but it surely belongs in a thread marked "graveyard".

Cast your peepers on these peeps:
A disturbing new color. They cost 25¢ today. I was robbed.

And this: PeepCarnage.
