How do tech terms become legit?
Are the words we use every day -- like podcast, mashup, and blogosphere -- good enough for mainstream dictionaries?
This article from Computerworld discusses how several companies select new terms to add to their dictionaries.
Alas, both Merriam-Webster and American Heritage have recently dropped record changer as well as my beloved PL/1 from their latest dictionaries.
