Bibelot
\BEE-buh-loh\
a small household ornament or decorative object : trinket

I like to think of all the stuff on the bookshelves in my
"War Room" as bibelot, it makes it easier to clean, and
less chore-like.

A most popular word, seeing as it's been suggested three times by three different posters now, the first coming some 2 1/2 years ago. Perhaps we can nudge the Dr. into taking this one up somehow?

I especially like the "miniature book" definition. I have a couple such items, including a tiny dictionary in a tiny plastic box. I've long been a fan of small stuff, which might help explain why I collect postage stamps.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
