skein

Postby Klimt » Fri Oct 08, 2010 10:32 pm

1. a length of yarn or thread wound on a reel or swift preparatory for use in manufacturing.

2. anything wound in or resembling such a coil: a skein of hair.

3.something suggestive of the twistings of a skein: an incoherent skein of words.

4. a flock of geese, ducks, or the like, in flight.

5. a succession or series of similar or interrelated things: a skein of tennis victories.
Whoever wants to know something about me - as an artist which alone is significant - they should look attentively at my pictures and there seek to recognise what I am and what I want.

I'll second that thought. I'd also like to know what a "swift" is from #1.

Just found it, here.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
