scapegrace

Postby Klimt » Fri Nov 05, 2010 11:35 am

an idle mischievous person; a reckless and unprincipled reprobate.

Both Kuragin and Dolokhov were at that time notorious among the rakes and scapegraces of Petersburg.
Whoever wants to know something about me - as an artist which alone is significant - they should look attentively at my pictures and there seek to recognise what I am and what I want.

Just as in the goat word, scape here means "one who escapes from" the following bit. If I may, I'd like to suggest a movie title here, with a little juggling:

Spacescape.

An escape story set in space! Gee, wow! Get it?

Landscape wouldn't quite work here, as that one's already taken.

We could even do a dramatized documentary on Chilean miners: Minescape.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
