I nominate "prestidigitation," a good everyday word--among magicians, that is.

I once knew a magician in Russia. He was the first one to be awarded a Doctorate in the art. Sadly, we lost touch.

To go along with prestidigitation, let's toss in legerdemain. It's interesting how having a light hand is so different from having light fingers.
