MOOT

Postby Pattie » Wed Sep 14, 2011 6:13 am

Ah, how evocative is today's word of that slice of my working past when I had cause to be around and listen to a lot of politicians (the pain, the pain ...) who, almost to a person, would express the sentiment that something was debatable by saying "It's a mute point." Would that many of them had been.

And to wish for the campaign season as they have
(I understand) in the UK: only six weeks. Ours
is forever. The next election in November of 2012 and
they've been at it since Obama's inauguration.
If only we could "mute" the politicians, the talking
bobble heads, who talk, talk, talk and say nothing,
and then when they get into office continue talking,
doing nothing.
-----please, draw me a sheep-----
