tran·spic·u·ous (trn-spky-s)
adj.
Easily understood or seen through: transpicuous motives.
[From New Latin trnspicuus, from Latin trnspicere, to see through : trns-, trans- + specere, to look at; see spek- in Indo-European roots.]

While she smiled and spoke sweetly, pretending no interest somehow her motives were transpicuous as she watched the cookie jar.

OOPS, while an interesting word, you have transcribed the p and the c in the Subject line.

A word worthy of the venerable Grogie, I do say.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.

Transpicuous seems to be a better word than transparent to describe non-literal transparency. I will use it henceforth and relegate transparent to the literal, as in transparent glass.
It is dark at night, but the Sun will come up and then we can see.
