This is an interesting word, but I'm curious as to how it would differ in usage from the English equivalent, environment. Any German speakers out there with an opinion?

Wikipedia says umwelt is the self-centered world. Sounds like psychobabble to me. If you want to sound scientific in the totally unscientific field of psychology, give it a German name. Oh the angst of it all!
