You are, of course, quite right--a fact that I realized after the message had been posted. It's been my experience that if one leaves a partially-written post to check out a fact, when one returns the message slate is blank. I've only recently started copying the message before going wandering, and it's a lesson still imperfectly remembered.

My ppersonal favorite pseudo-latinism is Illegitimi non carborundum est, which I am told means don't let the illegal aliens grind you down, tho I can't parse it that way.
