I notice that only a few people have migrated their avatars to the new Agora. If you are interested, click
1. User control panel
2. Profile
3. Edit avatar
You should be able to upload an avatar from your computer or if you have a graphic on line that you would like to use, that you may do, too.
If these choices aren't available in your user control panel, let me know.

Thanks for the behind-the-scenes work to make these features available on the board!

The problem here, as I understand it, is the size limitation. I tried to help two regular posters, but was unable to get their avatars down to the 6k maximum size. The dimensions were fine, but not the file size.

That's something I might be able to help with; I had to size mine down quite a bit for another board. I'd be willing to try if someone needs help.

Here they are. I'm sure Luke and Sap would be happy to have them fixed. Actual dimensions was no problem, but I couldn't compress them enough. Even though my program said it would, it stopped doing anything to them.

Re: Avatars on the New Agora
I needed avatars under 2kb for another board.
*puts on "Four Yorkshiremen" headdress*
Six kb? Luxury!
Luke can recover his here: http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh27 ... 6d4a21.gif
Pen nib is here: http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh27 ... 82207e.gif
If that direct link doesn't function properly, pm me for the image tags to download them from my photobucket album.

Re: Avatars on the New Agora
I appreciate your efforts (slava) and offers of assistance (gailr), but I was able to make Luke's avatar and mine reappear by changing the link from Picasa Web Albums to Flickr.
I never could get them to upload, even at 5K.
