To caper or frolic. ''The children were vagissating out in the yard.''

I hope the good Dcotor Goodword is reading this one, because I recommend it for publication and not just because it was submitted by a fellow Michigander, because, for all I know, he or she could be a dreaded troll.

Let us hope that Grogie's vagissating children do not grow up to suffer from the vagaries of life, which could lead to become vagrants, or even worse, vagabonds.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.

Vagissate does not sound pleasant to the ear. No child of mine was ever allowed to vagissate!
It is dark at night, but the Sun will come up and then we can see.

I have looked at it and can't run it because there is not enough information about the word. Only the 1913 Webster's and a few others even carry is (it isn't in the OED), but they all carry the 1913 Webster's entry: "To caper, to frolic".

I would like to encourage Grogie, but I can't find enough on line or in my library to do a good job.
